  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday announced loosened mask guidelines for outdoor settings. These rollbacks will be especially pronounced for fully vaccinated people, who can now dine at outdoor restaurants with friends without any precautions and attend crowded events such as concerts and sports games provided they are wearing masks. • Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said that the new guidelines underscore the benefits of vaccinations, which are now being offered to all adults in the country. “The message is clear,” Becerra said. “You’re vaccinated? Guess what, you get to return to a more normal lifestyle.” [CBS News]
  • With each day, more Americans join the ranks of those who can benefit from the updated CDC guidelines. 54 percent of US adults have received at least one Covid-19 shot. Almost 40 percent of adults, and over two-thirds of all seniors, are now fully vaccinated. [CDC]
